Girlesque VII

So excited for this! I’ve wanted to see Coco Lectric perform live (because although her videos online are fantastic…videos just never do the real thing justice) forevvvver! I couldn’t  make it to watch Montreal festival because of work, so imagine my delight.

Soooooo hot!

Also, Midnite Martini is not to be missed. her stocking peels are legit sensational, helping her to win the last ever Joan Arline Legends Choice Award at Boston ’11 (RIP Joan).

Mysterion serves up a cast of international talent that will be headlined by none other than the Reigning Queen of Burlesque: Miss Indigo Blue andfeatures The Schlep Sisters (Good Jewish Girls Gone Wrong), Legend Tiffany Carter and TO’s fave Legend April March. Also appearing are “Ottawa’s Dream” Koston Kreme (I affectionately call her burlesque Barbie), Saskatoon’s Cheripop Purr, and Toronto’s Mena la Fleur, Ava Noir, Miss D D Starr, Natalia Rose (pole!), as well as (of course) the Great Canadian Burlesque girls.  I can’t wait to shake it for y’all and cheer my face off. Fingers crossed Coco Framboise with have some collab-classes available as well.

VIP tix are on sale already, which guarantee ah-mayzing seats (and I believe waitstaff to get your drinks for you, if I remember correct). General admission tix to be released soon. Makes a pretty fucking awesome gift, nahmean?

Oh man, I need to stop now… bursting with excitement…

Movember Madness!

So you thought November was a slow month didja? Well, I’m here to tell you otherwise. Here is a breakdown of a few projects I’m involved in this month, but I don’t mean that in a me, me, me way- there are lots of awesome entertainers heading these shows.

1. Sunday November 13th: Great Canadian Burlesque’s Brunch @ the Caddy

The first in a series of new monthly shows, brunch ft. naked ladies is bound to be a satisfying dish. This month the headliner is none other than the sizzling Amber Ray.

(Style: Classic – Modern)

2. Thursday November 17th: Great Canadian Burlesque’s Sesame Street Strip Tease

Everyone has Muppet-fever this month but Sesame Street is a GCB fave. Headliners Anita Cookie and Minnie D’Moocha from NYC will light up the stage alongside Toronto burly-darlings such as Tanya Cheex, Mitzy Cream, Parker & Seville and the Wolfman! Another one from the vaults of the madcap mind of Mysterion and his hostess with the mostess Fionna aka Fifi.

(Style: Humourous/Modern)

Note: this is my birthday show, as I am turning 22 on the 9th I found it befitting of my “Terrible Twenty-Two” celebration. I’d appreciate if as many of my friends as possible could make it out for this joyous occasion.

3. Saturday November 19th: The Roustabout Revue

Starring Mina LaFleur and masterminded by Esther DeVille & co., this show is bound to be classy and classic. Not only does it feature burlesque but also a variety of circus and comedy performers as well as cute lil chorus girls (look out for me here, just don’t look to close..it’s my first time doing this genre of choreographed synced up dancing..).

(Style: Classic/Vaudeville)

4. Sunday November 20th: SIN: Burlesque “Good Golly Miss Molly”

GCB lands in Stratford! Core members of the GCB team will perform alongside adorable and salacious Sassy Ray (as seen at GCB’s September Monthly) at their Stratford Debut at Molly Blooms.

(Style: Classic – Modern)

5. Saturday November 26th: The Underground Peepshow’s The Evil Leauge of Sexy

Hey. who’s the cover girl? Hubba hubba! Haha….erm..

The Underground Peepshow returns with a vengeance in their third installment of burlesque shows, this time featuring a cast of villainous characters from all sorts of media. Get in touch with your naughty side just before realtime holiday season begins.

(Style: Modern)

Hope I get the chance to see your smiling beautiful faces at one, two, some, or all of these events, friends. And if we’re not friends, please do come say hi. Turning shows into socials makes the event.
